Renewtech expands European footprint with acquisition of Italy’s SE.CO

Renewtech, seller of sustainable IT solutions, has announced the acquisition of the Italian company SE.CO Srl, further cementing its position as a big European supplier of recycled IT hardware. This move follows last year’s acquisition of a Dutch networking division, aligning with Renewtech’s strategy to strengthen local presence and customer proximity across Europe. Founded over 25 years ago, SE.CO has built a robust reputation in Italy as an expert in refurbished hardware, service contracts, and maintenance, maintaining long-standing relationships with resellers nationwide. This acquisition marks a significant step in Renewtech’s mission to provide localized, high-quality IT services across Europe.

Strengthening local presence

Founded over 25 years ago, SE.CO has built a robust reputation in Italy as an expert in refurbished hardware, service contracts, and maintenance, maintaining long-standing relationships with resellers nationwide. This acquisition marks a significant step in Renewtech's mission to provide localized, high-quality IT services across Europe.

“We are thrilled to welcome SE.CO to the Renewtech family,” said Bjarne Aarup, CEO of Renewtech. “This acquisition not only aligns with our strategic goals but also enhances our ability to deliver sustainable IT solutions across Europe. SE.CO's values and commitment to quality mirror our own, making this partnership a perfect fit.”

A shared vision for the future

SE.CO's Managing Director, Massimiliano Campese, echoed Aarup's sentiments, highlighting the growing demand for refurbished hardware and the increasing importance of sustainability in the IT sector. "Joining forces with Renewtech allows SE.CO to expand its product range and leverage Renewtech's expertise to better serve our customers," said Campese. "It's crucial that we partner with a company that shares our commitment to quality and sustainability, ensuring that our customers and employees continue to receive the best."

A strategic integration

The acquisition also positions SE.CO to meet the rising demand for ISO certifications and CSR-D reporting on used hardware, areas where Renewtech has established itself as a frontrunner. This partnership will benefit SE.CO’s customers, offering them access to Renewtech’s extensive knowledge and multiple ISO certifications.

Moving forward, SE.CO will rebrand under the Renewtech name, unifying its operations with those in Denmark and the Netherlands. Massimiliano Campese will continue to lead the Italian branch, ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining the high standards that both companies are known for.
