What was most traded in Apple iPhone in Europe last quarter?

RecommerceIQ is an Italian company that supports companies operating in the secondary smartphone market that deal with the resale, trade-in, and refurbishment of mobile phones, helping them to react swiftly to market dynamics and optimize their pricing strategies. They specialize in dynamic pricing solutions for used and refurbished smartphones by offering an extremely intelligent price grabber solution both for trade in (BuybackWell) and sales (ResellWell).

In addition to pricing solutions, RecommerceIQ's platform offers valuable data analytics. For example, their software can track the most traded-in Apple iPhone models. In recent data from Q2 and Q3 (to date), the Apple iPhone 11 remains the most popular smartphone for trade-ins, followed by the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12. Interestingly, while the iPhone 14 does not appear in the top 5, its more premium versions, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, do.

The top 5 represent only 40% of total trade in volume. If we compare this data to same analysis in the US, provided by Assurant, we can see that Europe trade in is still much more scattered. The most popular memory size is 128GB as they have a 50% share across all models.

BuybackWell is designed to help businesses scale their trade-in operations by providing dynamic valuations for used electronics, which includes active quality control features. This service aims to increase a company’s supply chain efficiency and customer loyalty.

ResellWell focuses on automating resale pricing, allowing businesses to maximize sales and enhance profit margins. It integrates directly with e-commerce platforms and IT systems, offering businesses real-time price tracking and competitor analysis. This enables companies to make informed pricing decisions that align with market conditions, boosting their competitiveness.
