Westcoast joins forces with Closing the Loop for sustainable recycling initiative

Westcoast Limited, the UK’s largest hardware distributor, has partnered with Dutch sustainability company Closing the Loop to introduce the One for One service to its portfolio. This collaboration aims to enhance Westcoast’s commitment to sustainability by offering clients an easy way to reduce electronic waste and meet green IT goals. A great win for Closing the Loop that is certainly making waves.

The One for One service allows Westcoast customers to recycle an equivalent scrap device for every new device purchased. These devices are collected and recycled in developing countries lacking proper recycling infrastructure, preventing them from ending up in landfills. This initiative not only helps reduce electronic waste but also gives raw materials a second life and creates jobs in low-income economies.

For Westcoast’s clients, this service is a simple, cost-effective addition that can be integrated into their current sales process. By opting in, customers can demonstrate their commitment to sustainability, improve their environmental footprint, and meet their corporate social responsibility goals. And for anttractive price – for a phone, the service is less than 1% of the average price of a new phone. Westcost’s partners can offer their customers the chance to opt in, by adding a small fee to each quote for a phone, tablet or laptop.
