Swedish Lisa& partners with Samsung and Foxway to Launch sustainable device lending across the Nordics

This week, Sweden-based lending platform Lisa& announced a strategic partnership with Samsung Electronics Nordic AB to power Samsung’s new sustainable device initiative, Samsung Flex, across the Nordic countries. The collaboration is designed to promote circular economy practices by extending the lifecycle of Samsung devices, including smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches, through flexible rental options.

Under this partnership, Lisa& will provide an integrated all-in-one lending solution, embedded directly into Samsung’s checkout process. This solution encompasses device financing and credit risk management, enabling seamless consumer access to Samsung Galaxy devices in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland.

Oscar Nöjd, Head of Sales Innovation at Samsung Electronics Nordic AB, emphasized the significance of the Flex program, stating, “Not only does the Flex program enable us to offer great services to consumers, but it’s also a step toward a more circular business.” He also highlighted the partnership with Swedish refurbishment provider Foxway, which will help reintroduce returned devices into the market, thereby significantly extending their usable life.

Samsung Flex offers customers two key options: a highly flexible plan that allows for frequent device upgrades and a lower-cost plan with a two-year commitment. Both options underscore Samsung’s commitment to customer satisfaction and sustainability.

Viktor Tingström, Chief Commercial Officer of Lisa&, expressed pride in the partnership, noting the importance of Samsung’s efforts to reduce electronic waste while providing consumers with better, more sustainable options. This partnership exemplifies a growing trend among tech companies to adopt more sustainable business practices by embracing circular economy principles.
