Hungarian operator Yettel has launched a new partnership with Rejoy (Flip). This cooperation allows refurbished Apple iPhones to be sold directly through Yettel’s website and retail stores and both companies offer also a trade-in service. The deal is a milestone for Rejoy, as Yettel becomes its first telecommunications partner in Hungary, giving access to hundreds of thousands of potential customers.
Through the program, Yettel customers can sell their used smartphones at market value via Rejoy’s platform. Devices are collected by courier, graded, refurbished, and resold with a 24-month warranty. Customers receive payment directly from Rejoy, while Yettel adds extra discounts on the purchase of new devices from its portfolio.
According to Gábor Szabó, Head of Device Portfolio at Yettel Hungary: “Our goal was to give customers a safe, simple, and fair-value way to sell old devices, while rewarding them with additional savings on their next purchase.”

Refurbished Apple iPhones arrive in stores
As part of the launch, Yettel will offer refurbished Apple iPhone models supplied by Rejoy. Customers will be able to see and test these devices in-store, a key factor as many buyers prefer to examine refurbished smartphones before purchase. The initial lineup includes the Apple iPhone 13, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max, and Apple iPhone 14.
“Customers want reliability and transparency,” said Bence Blaumann, Managing Director of Rejoy Hungary. “Every Apple iPhone we deliver is tested across 67 quality points and comes with a full 2-year warranty. We want buyers to feel just as confident purchasing refurbished as they would buying new.”
Why Yettel switched partners
This is not Yettel’s first step into refurbished devices. Last year, the operator trialed refurbished smartphone sales with French company Recommerce, which also works with Magyar Telekom. According to Yettel, exclusivity was not part of the arrangement, and the switch to Rejoy was made to streamline trade-in and refurbishment processes.
“We needed a partner that could deliver both scale and reliability in refurbishment,” explained Gábor Szabó. “Rejoy’s track record in the region convinced us this was the right step forward.”
Rejoy’s growing presence in Hungary
Rejoy entered the Hungarian market in 2022 under the Flip Technologies brand and is also active in Greece, Bulgaria and Romania, Flip’s home country. Since launch, it has sold over 426,000 devices. Backed by € 10 million in funding from Emag, Rejoy grew its Hungarian revenue by more than 70% in 2024 and expects another 40% increase in 2025.
Bence Blaumann added: “Our collaboration with Yettel brings Rejoy’s mission to a broader audience. Together, we can give more devices a second life and help customers make smarter, more sustainable choices.”

Sustainability and convenience combined
Both companies emphasize that the collaboration is designed to make device trade-ins more convenient and secure. With Rejoy handling valuation, logistics, and payment, customers avoid the risks of informal online sales. Yettel complements this with discounts of up to € 39 on top of Rejoy’s payout, rewarding customers who trade in their old phones.
Yettel’s existing device exchange campaigns already offer discounts of up to € 130, but the new partnership aims to give more customers access to refurbished devices while raising awareness of sustainable consumption.
Dániel Bálint, Director of Customer Experience and Market Analysis at Yettel Hungary, underlined the company’s vision: “Digital solutions work best when they blend seamlessly into everyday life. This program with Rejoy does exactly that: it makes trading in and buying refurbished phones intuitive, safe, and environmentally conscious.”
