VodafoneThree has unveiled a new in-store mobile repair service called Fix & Go by Vodafone. The offering is available from today in five retail locations including White City, London Stratford, Oxford Street Experience, Cardiff and Edinburgh Princes Street. Belfast Cornmarket will follow later this month. The service is open to all customers regardless of their mobile network and is designed to deliver affordable, reliable repairs for popular smartphone brands.
Service available for all major brands
Fix & Go by Vodafone is available for Samsung, Apple iPhone and Google handsets, even if they are out of warranty. Repairs are carried out in-store by trained Vodafone technicians. In most cases, handsets can be returned to customers within two hours. Pricing starts at € 58 for battery replacements and € 140 for screen repairs. All parts replaced will be covered by a new Vodafone warranty.
UK-wide expansion planned
The Fix & Go service is expected to roll out across a total of 18 Vodafone stores later this year, with more planned in the future. The initiative is part of VodafoneThree’s ambition to transform its physical stores into comprehensive service and advice hubs. This move aligns with their broader customer experience strategy following the merger of Vodafone UK and Three UK.
Customer pain points addressed
VodafoneThree research shows that 56% of consumers are concerned about being without a phone during repairs, while 53% cite unexpected costs as a deterrent. The Fix & Go model aims to resolve both issues through same-day service and transparent pricing.
Fonehouse powers the repair process
VodafoneThree is collaborating with Fonehouse to deliver the Fix & Go service. Fonehouse’s integrated booking system and repair software ensure seamless operations. The company also provides training and tools to Vodafone’s in-store repair specialists, enabling quick and high-standard repairs.
High street presence reinforced
VodafoneThree aims to solidify its presence on the high street by offering more than just devices and accessories. With the introduction of in-store repairs, stores are evolving into essential service hubs. The company also recently launched Screen Damage insurance, the only one of its kind among UK networks, starting at €2.35 per month.
Strategic shift in customer experience
Jon Shaw, Consumer Operations Director at VodafoneThree, sees Fix & Go as a pivotal moment. “This new service launch is a key milestone in our journey to become number one for customer experience,” he said. “Repairs have been too expensive or time-consuming for many people to access but Fix & Go by Vodafone removes these barriers.”
