Early Upgrade, the company behind the DataBot, has partnered exclusively with Mazuma to launch its data destruction technology in the UK. The partnership allows both enterprises and consumers to access the innovative DataBot, either through direct deployment at company sites or via a send-in service to Mazuma.
A response to rising data risks
The introduction comes at a time when businesses and recyclers face increasing pressure to provide irreversible and auditable data destruction. Many current processes remain fragmented, manual, and difficult to verify, creating risks around data breaches, regulatory non-compliance, and loss of reputation.
Verified data destruction at scale
The DataBot solution combines industrial-grade physical destruction with a fully traceable digital audit trail. Each device is recorded with serial number, operator ID, location, timestamp, and before-and-after photographs. The result is a transparent and verifiable process that meets strict compliance standards.
Boosting value recovery and efficiency
Unlike traditional destruction methods that often-lower device value and slow down operations, the DataBot aims to enhance both security and efficiency. Its eight-second destruction capability and portable design allow enterprises to manage data risks while maintaining throughput and preserving component value when possible.
Mazuma expands its recycling services
Tom Hill, Managing Director of Mazuma, sees the DataBot as a strong addition to the company’s portfolio. “Through this partnership with Early Upgrade, we’re reinforcing our commitment to data security, value recovery, and the circular economy,” he said.
