EasyCep is the largest refurbished electronics marketplace in Turkey. Founded in 2018 by Mehmet Akif Ozdemir and Ismail Dincer, EasyCep has rapidly grown to become a leading player in the Turkish refurbished electronics market. Last year, the company secured US$ 11 million in Series A funding, fueling its expansion into new markets, including Qatar and Azerbaijan. Recognized by Deloitte as one of the fastest-growing technology companies in Turkey, EasyCep has already refurbished over 400,000 smartphones and aims to refurbish 340,000 more in 2024. The company operates a 5,000 square meter refurbishment facility and has 200 physical locations and of course a strong online platform. By 2024, EasyCep aims to save over 13,000 tons of CO2 and recycle approximately 21,000 kg of waste batteries. Impressive numbers.
Mehmet Akif Ozdemir, EasyCep’s CEO, is committed to promoting sustainable consumption. "We want to take environment-friendly products to our customers without risking quality," Ozdemir explained. "This way, they would get a reliable product and also contribute to a sustainable future." EasyCep’s impact extends beyond sales. The company’s "Sell Your Device" campaign encourages consumers to reduce electronic waste by selling their old devices rather than letting them gather dust. This initiative is part of EasyCep’s broader goal of building a circular economy, where products are reused and recycled to minimize waste.
