CypherBlk, with office in Hungary, Serbia and USA, has officially released TimeShield v5.0, the latest iteration of its smartwatch processing software. Just months after launching TimeShield v4.0, the company claims this update represents a “game-changing leap forward” in operational efficiency, security, and profitability within the circular economy. TimeShield v5.0 expands smartwatch asset intelligence and data security capabilities. It is the first industry solution to cover Apple, Samsung, Google Pixel, and WearOS devices with ADISA certification, ensuring secure processing and data protection.
Apple Watch diagnostics and accuracy
The new version introduces comprehensive Apple Watch diagnostics and functional testing, allowing for more precise device grading, fewer RMAs, and increased operational efficiency. A custom-engineered Apple Watch jig further improves fraud prevention and precision handling.
Stronger fraud detection and verification
TimeShield v5.0 enhances fraud detection with its OEM LCD verification system, adding new layers of validation for smartwatch screens. CypherBlk states that additional security features are planned for future updates.
Optimized workflow and processing efficiency
The software now includes a real-time dashboard notification center, providing instant updates on releases, bulk exports, and system enhancements. Advanced asset filtering and KPI tracking, including Units Per Hour metrics, help boost processing efficiency.
Scalability with role management features
New role management and multi-tenant support allow organizations to customize access control and scale operations efficiently. This feature is designed to improve security and streamline processing workflows.
A shift in smartwatch processing methods While CypherBlk’s TimeShield v5.0 uses a docking station, compatibility appears limited to Apple Watch Series 6 and newer. Meanwhile, PhoneCheck recently introduced an Apple Watch processing solution using Bluetooth and an Apple iPhone connection instead. The industry is now watching to see which approach proves more time effective.
