Techflow, a fast-growing player in India’s secondary smartphone market, has officially launched its flagship refurbishment facility. With an annual capacity exceeding 400,000 devices, the site marks a significant expansion in the country’s effort to scale circular electronics. The company, founded by Shivam Gupta and Anshul Gupta, offers a fully integrated refurbishment ecosystem aiming to support retailers and reduce electronic waste. In addition to its operations in India, Techflow also runs a large refurbishment and repair facility in Dubai, serving markets across the Middle East and Europe.
Cleanroom setup ensures device quality
The 16,000 sq. ft. facility features cleanroom-grade workstations and processes over 35,000 Apple iPhones and other smartphones monthly. Devices undergo a 50-point diagnostic and grading protocol. Refurbished smartphones are delivered in tamper-proof packaging and come with warranties from 6 to 12 months. Techflow’s back-end connects directly with retail and enterprise channels, enabling seamless operations across the supply chain.
A mission to build trust and scale
Co-founder Anshul Gupta emphasized Techflow’s broader goals: “We are not just refurbishing devices; we are reimagining how India engages with refurbished technology. We are focused on transparency, traceability, and scaling retail trust.” The company’s aim is to build the country’s most extensive network of trusted retail outlets for refurbished smartphones—a market traditionally known for fragmentation and opacity.
Environmental impact is a core driver
Shivam Gupta highlighted Techflow’s environmental impact: each refurbished smartphone can prevent up to 60 kg of carbon emissions and save over 100 liters of water. Techflow expects to prevent more than 1,000 tons of e-waste annually through its operations.
Expansion plans target major growth
The company aims to process 1 million smartphones a year and expand sales to 250 Indian cities. Techflow also plans to launch the country’s most transparent smartphone trade-in platform, reinforcing its commitment to a traceable and tech-enabled circular economy.
