TD SYNNEX, the biggest IT distributor globally, has announced a new strategic collaboration with electronics lifecycle expert Cordon Group and its affiliate SLS (Second Life Solutions), marking a significant extension of its Renew program. The partnership broadens the company’s circular IT services beyond mobile devices to now include trade-in options for Windows laptops, gaming consoles and other IT equipment.
New services available via Renew portal
Resellers can now access this wider range of lifecycle services through the TD SYNNEX Renew portal. The expanded offering includes certified data wiping, IT asset disposition (ITAD), technical repair, refurbishment and onsite in-custody services. These capabilities aim to support the growing demand for sustainable IT solutions across Europe.
Boosting local engagement and tech refresh
TD SYNNEX will activate local business development campaigns and collaborate with hardware vendors to promote tech refresh programs. The devices traded in will be processed by Cordon Group using its advanced circular IT infrastructure and processes. This integrated approach seeks to benefit both vendors and resellers looking to tap into the growing reuse and refurbishment market.
Strategic alignment with sustainability goals
TD SYNNEX’s Janis Kemers said the enhanced offering is designed to improve business outcomes for partners while supporting environmental responsibility. “This partnership demonstrates our commitment to sustainability and innovation in the IT ecosystem,” he said. Olivier De Rugy, CEO of Cordon Group, added, “We are excited to bring our circular services to a broader technology base across Europe.”
