TD SYNNEX and Rejoose scale product carbon transparency across global IT channel

According to Channelweb.co.uk TD SYNNEX has signed an exclusive global partnership with Rejoose to distribute validated product carbon footprint data solutions across its worldwide reseller network. Under the terms of the agreement, TD SYNNEX will act as the exclusive distributor of Rejoose’s carbon data tools through its e commerce platform, embedding SKU level emissions data directly into everyday IT procurement workflows. The collaboration follows TD SYNNEX achieving its 2030 Scope 1 and 2 emissions reduction targets, positioning the distributor to extend its sustainability focus deeper into the value chain. By integrating product level carbon data into its digital infrastructure, the company is aligning commercial transactions with growing regulatory and customer driven sustainability requirements.

Embedding carbon data at SKU level

At the core of the partnership is the delivery of validated, product specific carbon and energy data at SKU level. This data will be made available to reseller partners at the point of purchase, enabling them to assess the environmental impact of IT hardware before completing transactions. The integration extends to e commerce platforms, tenders and RFP processes, allowing carbon considerations to sit alongside pricing, availability and technical specifications. For the global secondary mobile and refurbished electronics market, SKU level carbon data introduces greater transparency across new and circular product flows. Accurate measurement at product level supports lifecycle extension strategies, enabling resellers to quantify the environmental benefits of refurbished devices compared with new hardware procurement.

Supporting scope 3 accountability

The partnership is also positioned to strengthen Scope 3 emissions tracking across the IT ecosystem. Resellers and their enterprise customers face increasing pressure to report indirect emissions associated with purchased goods and services. Automated carbon emissions data for IT hardware simplifies reporting obligations under frameworks such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. Enhanced reporting capabilities embedded into TD SYNNEX systems will allow partners to integrate carbon metrics into sustainability disclosures and procurement documentation. As regulatory scrutiny intensifies across Europe and other major markets, distributors that can operationalise Scope 3 transparency are likely to gain competitive advantage within the channel.

Operationalising circular computing strategies

Rejoose and TD SYNNEX emphasise that the carbon data solutions will support both new product sales and circular computing initiatives. For the recommerce and refurbishment sector, this creates a pathway to substantiate environmental claims with validated data rather than estimated averages. Quantified carbon savings can strengthen the business case for device refurbishment, trade in programmes and secondary market distribution. By embedding environmental metrics directly into transactional systems, sustainability shifts from a marketing narrative to an operational parameter. This aligns with broader industry movement towards data driven lifecycle management and measurable circularity outcomes.

Matthew Ruskin, Chief Commercial Officer of Rejoose, stated that transparency is central to driving climate action within the IT channel. He highlighted that more than 50000 partners now have access to Rejoose solutions through TD SYNNEX, underlining the global scale of the rollout.

Strategic channel implications

For TD SYNNEX, the agreement reinforces its positioning as a strategic enabler of sustainable transformation within the IT supply chain. Stephen Nolan, SVP of endpoint solutions and corporate citizenship executive sponsor Europe, described accurate carbon data as essential for driving sustainable change across the technology ecosystem. In a market where procurement decisions increasingly incorporate environmental performance alongside cost and availability, distributors are evolving into data intermediaries. The ability to provide validated product carbon information at scale enhances trust between manufacturers, resellers and enterprise buyers. As the global secondary electronics market matures, transparent carbon accounting is becoming integral to valuation, tender eligibility and corporate reporting. By combining distribution reach with embedded carbon intelligence, TD SYNNEX and Rejoose are signalling that sustainability data is moving from optional add on to core channel infrastructure.
