European insurer SPB Group has announced the launch of Cirkl Partners, a new brand aimed at advancing repair, refurbishment and recycling services for everyday electronics and lifestyle products. The initiative is part of the group’s broader commitment to sustainability and enhancing the circular economy in the insurance and after-sales sector.
Circular economy becomes a priority
Cirkl Partners brings together SPB’s existing repair and replacement operations into a single service platform, aiming to provide seamless, end-to-end after-sales support and second-life solutions. Through a tech-driven platform, Cirkl Partners coordinates a network of European service providers, offering rapid and high-quality repair services, particularly for electronics and home appliances.
Offering value to partners and clients
For SPB’s partners, including insurers, retailers and manufacturers, the introduction of Cirkl Partners offers a clear opportunity to embed sustainability into their customer offerings. According to CEO Mathieu Sebastien, it also allows these stakeholders to meet evolving consumer demands while improving service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
SPB continues strategic evolution
Founded in 1965 in Normandy, France, SPB began as Société de Prévoyance Bancaire and has evolved into Europe’s leading broker for affinity insurance. The group manages embedded insurance and assistance solutions for sectors including telecom, banking, mobility, travel, energy and health equipment. SPB operates across Europe through brands like Insurance2go, AVI International and C2A Garantie. In 2020 SPB acquired Save Group, a French chain of repair shop. In 2023 SPB underwent a change of ownership under a private equity fund; it reportedly dropped its repair and refurbishing business, exiting Save. Since has seen a spectacular growth and has currently around 300 shops in France, Spain and Poland.
A new chapter in second-life services
Cirkl Partners is positioned not only as a sustainability initiative but as a performance lever. The brand’s integrated offering is expected to reduce environmental impact while expanding SPB’s influence in Europe’s growing second-life electronics ecosystem. The move aligns with SPB’s long-standing strategy to combine embedded insurance with efficient after-sales and circular solutions.
