Even before the Samsung Galaxy S25 series launched, there were concerns about potential overheating. Previous models with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset had similar issues, and Samsung’s latest flagship seems to follow the same trend. Tech tipster Yogesh Brar has highlighted that the Samsung Galaxy S25 series experiences overheating. While the Galaxy S25 Ultra remains relatively cool, the standard Galaxy S25 reportedly gets significantly hotter. The Snapdragon 8 Elite, which offers a 40% performance boost over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the Samsung Galaxy S24, could be the cause. But we wonder is this a real issue or not?
Vapor chamber upgrade not enough
Samsung tried to address potential overheating by implementing a 40% larger vapor chamber in the S25 series. However, despite the larger cooling system, reports indicate that heat management is still an issue for these devices.

Samsung’s indirect response
Although Samsung has not issued an official statement, a moderated post in their European Samsung community acknowledged that Samsung smartphones do get hot. However, the post differentiated between ‘getting hot’ and ‘overheating.’ This indirect response suggests that the company may not see the current reports as a major concern. Time will tell, but we do not think there is a real issue. It seems that the Samsung Galaxy S25 is getting hotter than previous models, but it is, based on current information, far from overheating.
