Isomedia offers unique sustainable Samsung display burn-in calibration in Germany

German repair specialist Isomedia, an authorized Samsung Eco-Service partner based in Karlsruhe and part of DIS-CONNECT, has introduced display burn-in calibration services for smartphones and tablets. The new offering targets users of OLED and AMOLED devices, where long-term static image exposure can lead to permanent screen discoloration. With over 25 years of repair experience, Isomedia now extends its technical reach to include a calibration method that helps minimize the visual effects of screen burn-in.

How burn-in calibration works

Screen burn-in happens when static elements like navigation bars or logos leave lasting shadows due to uneven wear on organic light-emitting materials. Isomedia uses Samsung’s Galaxy Diagnostics software in combination with a calibration dedicated application to conduct the calibration. The process analyses pixel wear and compensates by adjusting surrounding brightness or shifting display elements slightly. Though it cannot reverse physical damage, calibration improves visual uniformity and extends screen usability.

Focus on sustainability and device longevity

By offering this service, Isomedia contributes to extending device lifecycles, by gradual improving screen grades, especially for high-end Samsung models. As OLED display usage grows, the ability to mitigate common aging issues adds value to the refurbished device market in Europe and beyond.
