Revibe, a Dubai-based refurbished electronics specialist, has secured US$ 7 million in Series A funding to accelerate its expansion in emerging markets. The funding round was co-led by French tech venture capital firms ISAI and Resonance, alongside participation from Kima Ventures and Saudi Pro League goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, now an active tech investor.
Founded in 2022, Revibe has quickly established itself as a leader in the refurbished consumer electronics segment in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa), a market valued at US$ 6 billion. Over the past 2 years, the company has sold more than 80,000 devices, including smartphones, laptops, gaming equipment, and tech accessories. This latest investment builds on the $ 2.3 million in seed funding raised last year.
Sustainability meets demand for affordability
Revibe operates in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa, targeting the growing demand for sustainable and affordable electronics. Revibe: “By offering high-quality, refurbished devices at nearly half the price of new ones, we address rising e-waste concerns and consumer affordability. Each device undergoes rigorous quality checks and comes with up to a one-year warranty, ensuring reliability and customer trust.”
Expansion plans
With its new funding, Revibe aims to consolidate its market position and expand operations into additional emerging markets across the MENA region. The company will also strengthen its customer care and quality assurance teams to support its growing customer base.
From pitch to goal
Edouard Mendy's involvement highlights the increasing intersection of sports and technology investments. The footballer, who now plays for Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia, joins a growing list of athletes investing in sustainable innovation.
Conclusion
Revibe’s success reflects a growing shift toward circular economy solutions in electronics. With its strategic funding and commitment to quality, the company is set to lead the region’s growing refurbished tech market.
