Mobilezone, an independent telecom retailer, founded in 1999. offers mobile phones, subscriptions, and accessories, operating in Switzerland and Germany with online and physical stores, reported that their ‘The Second Life’ segment, which includes smartphone repairs and refurbishments, continued to gain traction. Sales of refurbished devices under the jusit brand surged by 84% to 16,300 units. This represents 9.1% of all smartphones sold by mobilezone in Switzerland, up from 4.3% in the previous year. This significant increase underscores growing consumer interest in sustainable and certified refurbished devices.

Adjusted for currency effects and special items amounting to € 20 million, mobilezone reported total sales of € 1.02 billion, reflecting a 1.2% increase. Of these, 73% originated from Germany and 27% from Switzerland. The company’s gross profit stood at € 190.6 million, while adjusted operating income (EBIT) reached € 52.7 million with a margin of 5.2%.
