French Recommerce acquires Verkaufen.ch to expand Swiss operations

Recommerce Group, a European player in the refurbished electronics market, has acquired Swiss company Verkaufen.ch. This strategic acquisition strengthens Recommerce’s local presence and technical expertise while reinforcing its position in a fast-consolidating European refurbishing landscape.

Recommerce entered the Swiss market in 2014 by launching RS Switzerland SA in Fribourg. It became the trade-in partner of Swisscom and later built a network including Digitec, Mediamarkt, Conforama, and Interdiscount. Recommerce Swiss collaborates with local social enterprises such as REALISE for repair and logistics, further embedding the brand in the Swiss circular economy.

Verkaufen.ch brings technical strength

Verkaufen.ch, now operating under the name Recommerce AG, has 50 employees, including 30 technicians. The company specialises in the repair of Apple iPhones, smartwatches, MacBooks, and PCs. It works with major Swiss partners such as Sunrise, Interdiscount, and Chubb, and is a certified repair partner for Apple and Samsung.

Driving innovation through forward trade-in

A pioneer in forward trade-in services in Switzerland, Verkaufen.ch will enable Recommerce to scale this model group-wide. The acquisition also grants access to AI-driven diagnostic tools and an advanced inspection box, enhancing the quality and efficiency of refurbished product testing.
