The company extended the life of over 516,000 electronic devices, its highest annual total yet, while achieving its largest year-on-year emission reduction to date at 15%. And over € 220 million in revenue.
Circular model drives sustainable business
At the core of rebuy’s operations is a circular business model focused on buying, repairing, and reselling used consumer electronics and media. In 2024, this led to 206 tonnes of electronic waste being avoided and added 1.5 million usage years to consumer goods. By reusing 8.2 million media products, the company saved an estimated 32,000 trees and 9 billion litres of water.
Expansion in procurement and operations
rebuy expanded its B2B partnerships in 2024, tripling its device intake from trade-in partners. The company now works with 21 partners across sectors including telecom, retail, and ITAD. It also repaired 42,000 devices, an increase of 18%, and strengthened relationships with official resellers of Apple, Samsung, and Google.
Collaboration for long-term impact
The company took part in several major initiatives including Undress Circularity, EUREFAS, and CiCel 2.0, where it explored AI-powered repair solutions. rebuy also joined The Climate Pledge and supports PhD-level academic research.
Operational improvements reduce emissions
rebuy reduced its logistics emissions by 98% and total energy-related emissions by 31%. Three sites used 100% green energy. In 2024, rebuy launched a new trade-in feature, generating over 20,000 orders and growing its circular customer base by 17%. Its 3-year warranty remains a key consumer differentiator.
