PrologMobile launches Samsung Knox Check to boost device transparency

PrologMobile has expanded its data intelligence portfolio with the launch of Knox Check, a new service designed to verify Samsung device readiness. The feature is now available through both API and web interface and aims to give wholesalers, insurers, processors, and corporate trade-in operators clearer visibility into device status before resale or deployment. The company positions the service as a practical tool for reducing uncertainty in bulk transactions involving Samsung hardware. A tool the market has been waiting for.

Understanding Samsung Knox status

Knox status has long been a determining factor in the value and usability of a Samsung device. When Knox is activated for instance for payment enforcement, a device may be blocked from activation due to outstanding financial commitments. PrologMobile’s Knox Check labels these situations with a simple binary outcome. ON indicates that a carrier or finance company has placed restrictions. OFF indicates that the device is not bound by active payment obligations. This simple output is intended to reduce unnecessary handling and avoid costly errors during intake or resale preparation.

Operational impact for the sector

The introduction of Knox Check comes at a time when large volumes of Samsung devices move through European and US warehouses for redistribution or insurance replacement. A restricted device can trigger slowdowns in processing, increased testing time, and financial risk for buyers. By integrating Knox Check into existing workflows, operators can improve decision-making at device level. PrologMobile highlights that the service supports faster triage, more accurate grading, and fewer surprises once devices reach refurbishers or end buyers.

Building on the MacVerify rollout

Knox Check follows the company’s earlier expansion into Apple laptops through MacVerify. That service provides detailed insights into Apple MacBook conditions using only a serial number input. MacVerify detects iCloud locks, Find My Mac status, MDM enrolment, and hardware specifications including RAM, chip type, storage, and screen configuration. It was built for environments where MacBooks are processed in high volume, from insurance desks to eCommerce platforms. Both services reflect PrologMobile’s strategy to supply consistent and verified device intelligence at scale.

A growing data platform

Founded in 2017 in Boulder, Colorado, PrologMobile has built its reputation as a Data-as-a-Service platform serving the circular mobile device economy. The company uses IMEI-based intelligence to help reverse supply chain stakeholders determine a device’s value, origin, lock status, and network compatibility. Its tools are designed to reduce return rates, optimise refurbishment work, and support stronger resale margins. With Knox Check now added to its portfolio, PrologMobile aims to expand its role as an accuracy layer in the secondary device market.
