Greek trade-in enabler Pandas has been named a finalist in Deutsche Telekom’s 2025 Green Future Best Practice Awards. The Athens-based company is shortlisted in the Circularity category, which recognises initiatives that promote more sustainable lifecycles for technology products. It is unclear whether this nomination reflects Pandas’ earlier Flex machine, or the more recent trade-in solution as showcased during this year’s Mobile World Congress.
Deutsche Telekom highlights circular solutions
Deutsche Telekom launched the Green Future Best Practice Awards to reward partners developing impactful solutions across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emission reductions, as well as circularity and innovation. Now in its fourth year, the award ceremony is a centrepiece of the annual Telekom Campus Fair, which returns to Bonn on July 2–3, 2025.
Pandas built around device reuse
Founded with a mission to promote device reuse, Pandas operates trade-in kiosks that make it easy for consumers to give old phones a second life. The company’s guiding principle — “Buy one, Trade one” — positions it firmly within Europe’s growing secondary mobile device sector, which is being driven by consumer demand and environmental concerns.
Winners to be announced in July
The winners of the 2025 Green Future Best Practice Awards will be revealed during a ceremony on July 3, led by Deutsche Telekom board members Claudia Nemat and Arash Ashouriha. Other companies shortlisted in the Circularity category include CTDI, TKD, and a joint entry from Sagemcom, Infineon Technologies, Citronics, and Fairphone.
