Orient Telecom builds EU-ready stocks for holiday season

Hong Kong based reseller of premium used Apple iPhones, Orient Telecom, reported solid Black Friday sales. A few weeks after the sales period, SecondaryMarket.news reached out to David He, Orient Telecom’s commercial director, to understand the main reasons behind their record-breaking Black Friday and Cyber Monday performance. David He said, “After deploying a multi-pronged strategy built on ready-to-ship inventory, expanded sales coverage, and targeted marketing across Europe, we focused on ensuring that the best-selling models were available to meet immediate demand and reduce lead times for our EU buyers.”

What comes next? The global secondary mobile market is now preparing for the holiday season with over 200,000 Apple products in stock. Orient Telecom has concentrated stock holdings in the EU region to ensure faster delivery during the peak holiday period. The firm noted that having Apple direct stocks in sealed master cartons reduces grading uncertainty for buyers and lowers handling labour during the busiest trading weeks.

Sales team expansion in Europe

Orient Telecom recently expanded its EU-based sales team, adding roles such as a Spanish-speaking manager to serve local clients in their own language. Orient Telecom told us that the hiring is an investment in customer service and regional market development. This will prepare the company for a record-breaking 2026.

Product mix that moved fastest

SecondaryMarket.news asked Orient Telecom which devices sold best during the Black Friday period. According to the company the top-selling products included Apple iPhone 13, 15 and 16 series in premium cosmetic conditions (CPO, ASIS plus and ASIS) and surprisingly Apple iPad 10th generation, iPad Air 6 and 7 and iPad Pro 6th generation.

Preparing for the holiday period

Orient Telecom continues to run daily Christmas bulk deals with, according to the company, competitive pricing and smaller margins aimed at rewarding existing customers and stimulating year-end volume. The company emphasised that its pricing decisions were carefully calibrated to preserve long-term customer relationships while meeting seasonal demand. We asked Orient Telecom what their main differentiator is. Lead time was highlighted as a being central. During the peak season, Orient Telecom offers only ready stock to meet the expectations of EU customers who prioritise prompt delivery. This approach reduced uncertainty for resellers who need to plan inventory flow and retail promotions.

David He of Orient Telecom commented: "We prepared ready stocks to ensure EU buyers receive consistent quality and rapid delivery during the Christmas peak". He added, "Daily bulk deals are our way to thank long-standing customers and support their seasonal sales plans."
