Orange Luxembourg partners with start-up Reevive to launch exclusive repair platform for electronic devices

Network Orange Luxembourg has announced the launch of an electronic device repair service, in partnership with the start-up Reevive. This service connects users to a network of authorized and certified independent repairers, providing a seamless solution to repair faulty smartphones, tablets, or laptops. This move underscores Orange Luxembourg’s commitment to meeting consumer needs by enhancing customer experience while contributing to sustainability.

Dubbed the "Uber of repair," Reevive enables users to report issues and receive repair offers from nearby providers via a user-friendly platform. According to Mustapha Rahem, Head of B2C Sales at Orange Luxembourg, the service includes approximately ten repair providers, covering both manufacturer-authorized and Reevive-certified independent repairers.

Revolutionizing customer service and sustainability

This initiative is part of Orange Luxembourg’s mission to eliminate barriers to repair services. The platform ensures quick diagnosis of issues, offers transparent pricing, and prioritizes device repair over replacement, contributing to a circular economy. Co-founders of Reevive, Matthieu Huet and Vianney Bernard, emphasized their excitement about the partnership, highlighting its role in increasing access to high-quality repairs and extending device lifespans.

Comprehensive repair support for individuals and SMEs

Accessible via Orange Luxembourg’s website, the service also provides sales representatives with tools to guide customers in-store. This approach aligns with Orange’s tagline "Orange is here," reflecting a deeper commitment to customer satisfaction and efficient device handling.

Future and a concern

The collaboration with Reevive reflects Orange Luxembourg’s focus on innovation and supporting startups to enhance services. This repair platform not only improves customer experience but also addresses environmental concerns by promoting device longevity and recycling. All and all a great initiative. A crucial question arises: how will Reevive and Orange Luxembourg ensure consistent, high-quality repairs across all ten repair shops? Just one underperforming repair provider could negatively affect the entire service concept and harm the initiative’s reputation.
