mySWOOOP and EURONICS have showcased results of their sustainability efforts at KOOP 2025, the cooperation trade fair for both Expert and EURONICS members in Germay. According to mySWOOP: “Their long-term commitment to the circular economy demonstrates how sustainability can be successfully implemented in the electronics industry. Through their joint initiatives of purchasing used electronics and selling refurbished smartphones under the #GOECO brand in EURONICS stores, mySWOOOP and EURONICS achieved substantial environmental benefits in 2024. Their efforts saved 143,028 kg of CO₂ and 34,524 kg of resources, equivalent to the CO₂ emissions of 31 flights from Frankfurt to New York or the weight of approximately eight fully grown elephants. These numbers highlight the crucial role of electronics reuse in reducing emissions and preserving rare raw materials”.
Brand #GOECO offers refurbished devices
#GOECO, developed by mySWOOOP, is a brand for high-quality refurbished smartphones from premium manufacturers such as Samsung and Apple. Available in over 400 partner stores across Germany, #GOECO devices provide customers access to premium technology at “significantly lower prices—starting from just €150—without compromising on quality or performance”.
Celebratory cheque presentation at KOOP 2025
To recognize their achievements, mySWOOOP and EURONICS showed a symbolic cheque presentation at KOOP 2025. Oliver Wrieden (Head of B2B Sales & Services, mySWOOOP) signed the cheque and, together with Vadim Pyritsch (Key Account Manager, mySWOOOP), presented it to Denis-Benjamin Kmetec (Board Member, EURONICS) and Benedict Kober (Executive Board Spokesperson, EURONICS).

Commitment to continued collaboration
Building on their success, mySWOOOP and EURONICS plan to expand their sustainability measures further in 2025. More used devices will be given a second life, reinforcing the advantages of refurbished electronics for consumers and embedding device reuse as a standard practice in the market.
