UK-based circular refurbisher Klyk has announced a major new partnership with Vodafone Business, marking a significant milestone in its mission to reshape the mobile and IT landscape for businesses. The collaboration signals Klyk’s return to working with British operators, an industry deeply familiar to co-founder Asad Hamir, who spent 15 years working within its core operations.
Asad Hamir shared that this partnership has been long-awaited since his previous collaboration with O2 ended. His motivation, he explains, comes from witnessing the industry’s wasteful practices, from excessive device upgrades to opaque tariffs and underused SIM cards. With Klyk, he aims to create a transparent, circular, and customer-focused model for business mobile technology.
Tackling waste in business mobile use
The mobile industry’s linear model has long been criticized for its environmental footprint. Millions of devices are replaced unnecessarily each year, while business phone contracts often conceal costs within complex tariffs and unused lines. Klyk seeks to reverse that pattern by prioritizing refurbished devices, lifecycle management, and clear, sustainable pricing.
This aligns with the company’s broader mission to make “Circular IT the new standard,” providing businesses with refurbished laptops, Apple iPhones, and tablets alongside full lifecycle management. Through its B2B services, Klyk ensures that devices are responsibly sourced, securely managed, and ultimately repurposed or recycled.
Shared values and future vision
According to Asad Hamir, Vodafone Business was a natural fit for this partnership. Following its merger with Three, Vodafone is building what it calls the UK’s leading network, renowned for its roaming capabilities and reliability. More importantly, Hamir highlights a “cultural spark” shared between the two companies – an openness to innovation and sustainable thinking.
Klyk’s leadership team has publicly thanked Vodafone representatives Helen Imms, Sarah Davies, and Andrei Michaluk for their support in bringing the collaboration to life. Together, both companies aim to offer UK businesses a more transparent and circular approach to mobile procurement and management.
A growing force in circular IT
Founded in 2020 by Asad Hamir and Zahid Khimji, Klyk has established itself as one of the UK’s leading certified B Corporations in circular technology. The company is profitable and continues to scale its B2B model, driven by a service-first approach rather than hardware sales. Its clients include fast-growing SMEs and sustainability-minded companies looking to cut costs and reduce their carbon footprint.
As Klyk embarks on this new partnership with Vodafone Business, the company reinforces its role as a champion of sustainable technology, transparency, and efficiency in business IT.
