The European Electronics Recyclers Association (EERA) has announced the appointment of Judith Wanjala as its new Policy, Communications and Members Officer. Judith Wanjala will officially assume her role on 1 October 2025, supporting EERA’s CEO, Julie-Ann Adams, in advancing the Association’s objectives. Founded in 2004, EERA is a non-profit trade organization representing companies involved in the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Its mission is to advocate for member interests, promote fair competition, and ensure environmentally sound processing of e-waste. The Association also works to combat illegal exports of WEEE and hazardous materials across Europe.

She has collaborated with multiple EERA members and partners, strengthening the Association’s presence and influence in Europe’s circular economy efforts.

Born in Kenya, Judith Wanjala moved to the Netherlands in the mid-1990s. She is fluent in Swahili, Dutch, and English, with strong proficiency in German. In 2021, she earned a master’s degree in Sustainable Supply Chain & Logistics from Osnabrück Business School, Germany, enhancing her understanding of global supply chains and sustainable practices.
