HP Benelux enables partners to show detailed CO₂ data per product

HP Benelux now enables its channel partners to include detailed CO₂ information for each product directly on their online product pages. This data covers emissions from manufacturing, transportation, energy consumption during use, consumables, and end-of-life waste processing.

Integration through content platforms

The CO₂ data is made available via content syndicators such as Icecat and 1WorldSync (1WS). This integration allows partners to automatically incorporate country-specific CO₂ data into their systems. Partners already using these services and regularly updating their full datasets will receive the new environmental data automatically. Other partners can access it through the HP Web Content Solutions for Partners portal, which includes documentation on how to automate access to HP’s digital product content.

Transparency as a competitive advantage

According to Hjalmar van Veen, Director Commercial Channel HP Benelux, sustainability increasingly makes a positive difference in technology procurement. By providing product-level CO₂ data and integrating it into existing content platforms, HP supports partners in becoming more transparent, efficient, and persuasive in their sales processes. “Sustainability, including CO₂ data, is now a differentiating factor when customers choose technology providers,” Van Veen said.

Part of the HP Amplify Impact program

This initiative builds on HP’s Amplify Impact partner program, which currently supports more than 4,500 partners globally in achieving their sustainability goals. Recent figures show that 71% of participating partners have improved their success rate in sustainability-focused deals, while 50% have gained new customers through these efforts.

Rising demand for transparent data

Across international markets, the demand for product-level CO₂ transparency continues to grow, particularly in ESG reporting and public procurement. By offering detailed footprint data through familiar content platforms, HP takes an important step toward greater clarity for both partners and customers. As Van Veen emphasized, this approach makes sustainability not only visible but also directly applicable in commercial processes.

HP is encouraging partners to enrich their product pages with this new data to help customers make more sustainable and informed purchasing decisions. This initiative highlights HP Benelux’s commitment to measurable transparency and contributes to a more sustainable customer journey.
