Flex IT, one of Europe’s largest refurbishers of computer hardware, has announced the appointment of Angelo Bul as its new CEO. Bul succeeds Andreas Mayer, who will remain in an advisory role to ensure a smooth transition. According to Flex-IT Angelo Bul brings a wealth of experience in the IT and telecom sector, both nationally and internationally. Most recently, he served as EVP of Dustin, and before that, he held leadership roles at ZTE as General Manager and Country Manager.
Flex IT’s mission in circular IT
As a leading distributor of circular IT, Flex IT focuses on extending the lifecycle of IT equipment. The company aims to be a key partner for vendors, resellers, and customers in the entire circular IT value chain. With strong foundations in distribution, IT asset disposition (ITAD), rental, and demo businesses, Flex IT is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing adoption of circular IT solutions across industries.
A strong foundation for future growth
Lars Pettersson, speaking on behalf of the Flex IT Board, welcomed Bul and acknowledged the contributions of outgoing CEO Mayer: “Andreas Mayer played a crucial role in professionalizing the company and laying the foundation for its growth. With Angelo Bul’s experience and leadership skills, he will be instrumental in building on our strong potential together with his team.”
Andreas Mayer’s brief but impactful tenure
Andreas Mayer was appointed as CEO in April 2022, succeeding Leon Timmermans. Andreas Mayer previously served as Managing Director at MCKL, a leading European demo partner, which was acquired by Flex IT. His leadership helped integrate MCKL into Flex IT’s operations, strengthening its position in the demo services and circular IT market in Europe. The reason for Mayer’s relatively short tenure as CEO remains undisclosed.
