French IT services provider Econocom has announced its 2024 financial results, reporting a revenue of €2,744 million, a 3.6% organic increase compared to 2023. Despite a challenging technology market, the company maintained a steady growth trajectory, reinforcing its position as a key player in IT lifecycle management, financing, and refurbishment. Secondary market becoming more and more important to Econocom.
Strong operating margin and profit
Econocom reported an operating margin of € 110.4 million, maintaining a profitability rate of 4.0%. The company recorded a consolidated net profit of €37.7 million, down 36%, impacted by one-time costs associated with its ongoing business transformation.

Debt reduction and strategic acquisitions
Econocom significantly reduced its net financial debt to €96 million, down from €181 million in 2023. A key development was its acquisition of an 80% stake in bb-net, Germany’s leading IT refurbisher, in January 2025. This move strengthens Econocom’s presence in the European circular economy, aligning with its ‘One Econocom’ strategic plan.
A focus on sustainability and CSR
The company reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability, securing Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validation for its decarbonization goals. Econocom aims to cut Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 61.4% by 2028 while increasing renewable energy use to 92%.
Looking ahead to 2025
Econocom expects higher growth in 2025 as it continues investments in sales, business synergies, and digital transformation. The company also plans to distribute € 0.10 per share to shareholders, representing 44% of its 2024 net profit.
