COSMOTE & GERMANOS, members of the OTE Group and leading retail networks in Greece, have launched a trade-in program in partnership with Pandas. This initiative integrates Pandas’ advanced automation platform into their online and in-store operations, offering customers a seamless, intuitive, and efficient device buyback experience. Last month Pandas announced a cooperation with Tele2 Estionia and refurbisher RIngy, placing 3 of their Flex trade-in kiosks in the operator’s stores.
Streamlined trade-in with Pandas sdk and Flex machines
The partnership’s core innovation lies in the integration of Pandas’ SDK Grading App and in-store Flex machines. Customers can now assess their device’s condition online using the COSMOTE & G App before visiting a COSMOTE or GERMANOS store. In-store, the trade-in process is completed within minutes via Pandas Flex machines, which leverage the Pandas Engine to provide a comprehensive 360° analysis of the device’s functionality and cosmetic condition. This intuitive, gamified interface ensures accurate evaluation and optimal trade-in value.
Boosting efficiency and customer retention
This automated system is designed to reduce inspection times, automate manual processes, and free up staff hours, enabling a smoother customer experience. The platform’s high-accuracy grading mechanism minimizes margin loss, allowing COSMOTE & GERMANOS to offer competitive trade-in prices—a critical factor for driving adoption and retention in the price-sensitive trade-in market
CEO’s vision for enhanced customer experience
Fanis Koutouvelis, Founder and CEO of Pandas, highlighted the collaboration’s significance: “At Pandas, we’re proud to support COSMOTE & GERMANOS in delivering a seamless, automated trade-in experience. This partnership combines our automation platform with their reach, making device buybacks faster, more accurate, and convenient for customers while driving operational efficiency.”
A new standard in trade-in solutions?
Through this collaboration, COSMOTE and GERMANOS, owned by the OTE Group and majority-held by Deutsche Telekom, are redefining trade-in solutions with enhanced efficiency and customer convenience. The partnership exemplifies the potential for innovation in the retail electronics sector, setting a new benchmark for customer-friendly trade-in programs.
