Cashify has announced the appointment of Raghvendra Singh as its Chief Technology Officer, effective from 1 January 2026, marking a strategic leadership shift as the company deepens its technology-first approach to scale and reliability. The move reflects Cashify’s intent to strengthen its digital foundations as competition intensifies across India’s rapidly maturing secondary electronics market.
Expanded technology mandate
In his new role, Raghvendra Singh will oversee Cashify’s end to end technology strategy and execution, spanning platform architecture, engineering operations, infrastructure, and security. The appointment elevates technology from an enabling function to a core strategic pillar, aligning system resilience and scalability with the company’s long term growth ambitions across recommerce, repair, and trade in services.
Continuity from within
Raghvendra Singh’s promotion represents a continuity driven appointment rather than an external hire. He previously served as Head of Engineering and held Senior Vice President and Vice President of Engineering roles within the organisation. With more than a decade at Cashify, his career has closely tracked the platform’s evolution from an early-stage startup into India’s largest recommerce ecosystem for used electronics.
Supporting aggressive growth targets
The CTO appointment comes as Cashify targets annual growth of 30-35%, expands beyond 300 stores, and adds new product categories across India. Technology scalability is expected to play a decisive role in supporting increased transaction volumes, complex device grading workflows, and omnichannel customer journeys spanning online and physical retail environments.
Platform stability at scale
According to the company, Raghvendra Singh has been instrumental in building high performing engineering teams while maintaining platform stability during periods of rapid business expansion. As Cashify manages millions of monthly transactions, technology uptime, fraud prevention, and data security are increasingly critical to sustaining trust among consumers, brand partners, and downstream refurbishment and resale channels.
Recommerce infrastructure relevance
Founded in 2013, Cashify operates both a digital platform and a nationwide retail footprint of more than 220 shops across India. The company facilitates the buying, selling, and repairing of used electronics, including smartphones such as Apple iPhone models, alongside laptops, tablets, smartwatches, gaming consoles, and other connected devices. Its technology stack underpins pricing algorithms, device diagnostics, and lifecycle tracking that are central to circular economy outcomes.
Trade in partnerships and data flows
Cashify also acts as a trade in partner for major global brands including Apple, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Vivo, Oppo, HP, Samsung, and Dell. These partnerships rely heavily on secure data handling, accurate device valuation, and seamless integration between OEM systems and Cashify’s platforms, reinforcing the strategic importance of the CTO role.
Technology enabling affordability goals
With approximately 10 million monthly active users, Cashify positions technology as a driver of affordability and access to electronics across India. By extending device lifecycles and improving recommerce efficiency, the company contributes to reduced electronic waste while unlocking secondary market value. Raghvendra Singh’s appointment signals continued investment in the digital infrastructure required to support these sustainability and growth objectives simultaneously.
