Breezy, a fully owned subsidiary of distributor ASBIS, has introduced Apple’s automatic diagnostic tool for MacBooks into its trade-in system. This makes Breezy the first company in Europe to deploy the tool, following its earlier adoption of Apple’s iPhone diagnostics toolkit in 2024. Next to Breezy only Northladder is using Apple toolkit in Europe as well.
Trade-in process mirrors Apple Store
The new MacBook diagnostic tool ensures that the trade-in process is as quick and reliable as in an Apple Store. The automated check takes up to five minutes, requires no additional application, and allows store staff to continue interacting with customers while the evaluation runs seamlessly in the background.
More trust in refurbished MacBooks
According to Breezy CEO Andrey Kosar, the tool is a milestone for both consumers and the secondary market. “We see huge potential in the notebook category and with Apple’s automatic MacBook diagnostics integrated into our system, the trade-in process becomes significantly more efficient and transparent. It allows us to provide more certified MacBooks with guarantees, which increases consumer trust and market value. This is about more than speed and convenience. It is about creating confidence that every device has been tested properly, encouraging customers to choose refurbished devices over new ones. More trust means more devices entering a second life, which is exactly the kind of circular approach the market needs.”
Available for all Breezy partners
The MacBook diagnostic tool is integrated into Breezy’s trade-in system and is available to all its partners at no extra cost. Currently, more than 50 major retailers and mobile operators across Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia and Africa are connected to the program. The company expects this move to strengthen consumer confidence and encourage wider adoption of circular technology practices.
