The Prink group, including the mobile phone repair chain iRiparo, faces a pivotal moment as its business assets are set for auction. The auction stems from Prink S.p.A.’s financial struggles and covers multiple companies within its portfolio, consolidating them into a single sale. The Bologna Civil Court has mandated the sale of Prink S.p.A., iRiparo S.r.l., Fotoprint Distribuzione S.r.l., and Colorcopy UBI S.r.l. as one lot. The assets include brand names, patents, franchise contracts, inventory, office equipment, and commercial agreements. Real estate in various Italian cities, including Forlì, Verona, and Vimercate, is also part of the package.
iRiparo’s significance in Prink’s portfolio
Among the assets, iRiparo stands out. Acquired by Prink in 2017, iRiparo grew from a mobile repair network focused on Apple iPhones to a wider player servicing all major smartphone brands. With over 324 repair points across Europe, it represents an important operational pillar within the group.
Financial difficulties and court intervention
In August 2024, Prink filed for “concordato con riserva,” an Italian form of debt protection that allows companies time to restructure. Despite this measure, the company could not stabilize its financial situation, leading to the liquidation and court-ordered sale.
Auction details and deadlines
The minimum asking price for the complete asset package is €4.300.000. Interested buyers must submit sealed bids to the curator in Bologna no later than 29 May 2025, 09:30 CET, including a deposit of 10% of the bid value. Full terms are available at www.intribunale.net under reference R.G. 18/2023.
Outlook for the mobile repair sector
The sale highlights broader pressures in the mobile repair and printer supplies markets. Competitors like SAVE, in Spain, Poland and France, and ThePhoneLab in the Netherlands continue to thrive, showing that market success is still possible with strong positioning. For iRiparo and other Prink assets, the upcoming auction could represent a chance for revitalization under new ownership.
