Bamboo Connect, a large player in UK’s and global secondary mobile device industry formerly known as Bamboo Distribution, has been named a recipient of the King’s Award for Enterprise 2025, one of the most respected recognitions for business excellence in the UK. This marks the second time Bamboo has received royal recognition, having previously won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2018.
Two royal awards, one proud company
The latest accolade makes Bamboo Connect part of a select group: only 116 UK companies were chosen this year for the internation trade awards and personally approved by His Majesty King Charles III. The honour is even more symbolic, as it means the company has now received awards from two different reigning monarchs, a rare and notable achievement.
Ceremony and royal reception ahead
Later this year, the Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, the King’s personal representative, will formally present the award at Bamboo Connect’s offices. A celebratory event will follow for the entire Bamboo Conect team. In addition, Bamboo’s founder and managing director Juney Mistiki will attend a reception at Buckingham Palace, hosted by His Majesty, alongside other award-winning business leaders.
Award highlights innovation and responsibility
The King’s Award for Enterprise, formerly the Queen’s Award, was launched in 1965 and is the highest official UK recognition for businesses. It highlights firms making exceptional contributions to Innovation, International Trade, Sustainable Development, or Social Mobility. In 2025, 197 businesses received recognition across these categories, with 199 awards issued in total.
Bamboo Connect’s sustainable growth recognised
With its continued focus on the circular economy and responsible tech reuse, Bamboo Connect stands out in the secondary mobile industry, especially for Apple iPhone refurbishment and distribution.
