AURELIUS Private Equity Mid-Market Buyout has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Info Tech division of DCC Technology in the UK and Ireland. The division includes Exertis UK and Ireland, Hypertec, Exertis Supplies, Macro EV, Exertis Supply Chain Services, MTR and Ztorm.
A strategic move into distribution
The deal, valued at approximately € 118 million, represents AURELIUS’ latest transaction with a FTSE100-listed counterparty. The acquired division distributes technology products across consumer and business sectors and provides key services to both resellers and blue-chip technology vendors.
Strong infrastructure and scale
Exertis operates from high-capacity distribution centres in Burnley and Dublin, contributing around € 2.4 billion in combined revenue in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025. AURELIUS sees significant operational improvement potential and earnings growth, supported by its specialist WaterRise team and a recovery in tech demand.
Minimal short-term impact on secondary market and repair
Although initial effects on the UK secondary mobile and repair market are expected to be limited, the long-term outlook is different. MTR, Exertis’ refurbishment and repair arm, is likely to benefit from new investment and become more competitive under AURELIUS ownership.
Growth and more deals expected
SecondaryMarket.news expects more acquisitions may follow as Exertis under AURELIUS’ management actively seeks to expand and consolidate its footprint. With a focus on operational excellence, growth and circular economy strategies, this acquisition marks a significant shift in the UK tech distribution and services landscape.
